J&M Tackle recently purchased Gator Sharp Knives. Gator Sharp produced repurposed, sharpened knives for just a few dollars per knife. These knives originally were from meat and poultry plants. Once the plant workers used up the edge on them, they would drop them into a 55 gallon drum and start with a fresh, sharp knife. We bought all of those drums. We wash and sanitize, then sharpen and polish them before they are ready to sell. We have three different size groups of knives for whatever purpose. We have 4"-5" for pairing or bait cutting; 5"-6" for general purpose; and 7"-8" for filleting and breaking. We also offer a price break for purchases of 96 knives or more. Combinations of sizes permitted.
